Jennifer received a Master of Science degree in speech and language pathology from Columbia University, Teachers College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in clinical psychology from Tufts University.  She has over 20 years of experience working as a licensed speech-language pathologist. She is also a certified orofacial myologist   , as awarded by the IAOM.

Jennifer began her career at Mount Sinai Hospital in the Communication Disorders Department.  There, working in both outpatient and inpatient settings, Jennifer developed an exceptionally strong foundation of skills in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of communication disorders in both children and adults.  At the same time, she gained field experience and knowledge from seasoned professionals in her own discipline as well as across disciplines (including audiology, psychology, learning disabilities, dentistry, oral surgery, otolaryngology, neurology, and radiology).   After several years, Jennifer established private practices on the upper east and west sides of Manhattan.  Jennifer practiced there for 10 years before relocating to Connecticut in 2003.  She has maintained a private practice in Connecticut since that time.

Jennifer has specialized in the treatment of stuttering and articulation disorders for most of her career.  In 2006 she added myofunctional disorders to this grouping.  Jennifer continuously seeks to elevate her standards of practice and keep up with research findings in the field.  To that end, she has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education coursework in these particular areas.

Jennifer is currently licensed in the state of Connecticut and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology as awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).  She is a member of ASHA’s Fluency Disorder Special Interest Division, the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) and the International Affiliation of Tongue Tie Professionals (IATP).  She is a supporter of the Stuttering Foundation of America, The National Stuttering Association, and the International Fluency Association.

Jennifer treasures working with children and their families and considers it a privilege to be part of their lives during their speech journey.
